Designs for Health OmegAvail Hi-Po Liquid - High-Concentration 1:1 EPA/DHA Omega-3 (47 Servings)
3,000 mg of balanced, triglyceride-form omega-3 in a single teaspoon. The strongest dose in our lineup, and probably more than most people need daily.
- 3,000 mg of omega-3 per serving. 1,500 mg EPA and 1,500 mg DHA in one teaspoon, the highest total dose of any omega-3 we carry, by a wide margin.
- A true 1:1 EPA to DHA ratio. Neither fatty acid is playing second fiddle here, which is a different design choice than the EPA-forward formulas elsewhere in our lineup.
- Triglyceride-form fish oil, molecularly distilled and filtered. Same absorption priority we apply across our whole omega-3 shelf, refined for purity rather than just concentrated.
- Sustainably sourced, MSC-certified wild Alaskan fish oil. Independent sustainability certification tied to the sourcing, not a self-issued claim.
- Third-party tested, made in a NSF-certified GMP facility. Manufactured in the USA, with NSF International's Good Manufacturing Practice certification backing the facility itself.
- Lipase, DeltaGold® tocotrienols, and natural lemon flavor. A digestive enzyme most liquid fish oils skip, a patented freshness-protecting vitamin E form, and flavoring meant to cut the fishy taste rather than mask it.

This is the clinical-strength option in our omega-3 lineup, and we want to be upfront that “clinical-strength” cuts both ways. At 1,500 mg EPA and 1,500 mg DHA per teaspoon, a single daily serving delivers roughly three times the total omega-3 of our standard softgel option. That’s genuinely useful if you have a specific reason to be at this dose, working with a practitioner on a therapeutic goal, correcting a known deficiency, or simply preferring one measured teaspoon over four softgels.
It is also more omega-3 than most people need for general daily wellness, and we’d rather say that plainly than let the bigger numbers do the selling for us.
The ratio is also worth calling out, because it’s different from the rest of what we carry. Our other two fish oils lean EPA-forward for absorption and cost reasons. This one is a genuine 1:1 split, so if you specifically want a heavier DHA dose without switching to a different product’s ratio entirely, this is the one in our shop that gets you there, alongside a full EPA dose rather than a reduced one.
One honest note on liquid fish oil generally: the natural lemon flavor here is a real formulation choice, not a gimmick, but it doesn’t eliminate every trace of fish oil’s underlying taste for every palate. If you’ve tried flavored liquid fish oil before and still noticed it, that’s a fair expectation to carry into this one too. Mixing it into a small amount of juice or a smoothie is the practical workaround most people land on.
On the sourcing and manufacturing side, there’s less to hedge on. The fish oil is MSC-certified as sustainably sourced wild Alaskan fish oil, it’s molecularly distilled and filtered for purity, and it’s made in the USA in an NSF International GMP-certified facility, with third-party testing behind the finished product. That’s a genuinely strong quality-infrastructure stack, and it’s a big part of why we’re comfortable carrying a product at this price point in the first place.

What is in the serving, and why
Fish oil sourced from wild Alaska pollock, delivering EPA and DHA in triglyceride form at a considerably higher concentration per serving than our softgel options, plus three supporting ingredients: lipase to aid digestion of the oil itself, DeltaGold tocotrienols to protect the oil from oxidizing, and natural lemon flavor to make the daily teaspoon more tolerable.
Sourcing and purification
The fish oil carries Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification, an independent sustainability standard tied specifically to the wild Alaskan sourcing, not a self-issued brand claim. It's also molecularly distilled and filtered, the standard industry process for concentrating omega-3s while removing contaminants and the oxidized byproducts responsible for a lot of fish oil's fishy reputation in the first place. The product is manufactured in the USA in a facility that holds NSF International's Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification, and the finished product is third-party tested rather than verified only in-house.
The 1:1 ratio, and what it actually means
- EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid), 1,500 mg. The fatty acid most tied to cardiovascular support and, increasingly, mood-related outcomes through its anti-inflammatory activity.
- DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid), 1,500 mg. The structural fatty acid, a major component of the brain's gray matter phospholipids. At this dose, DHA intake is generous by any standard we use, well past the threshold we consider meaningfully brain-relevant.
A 1:1 ratio means neither fatty acid is being deprioritized to boost the other. Compared to the EPA-forward formulas elsewhere in our lineup, this gives you a considerably larger DHA dose alongside a full EPA dose, rather than one at the expense of the other. The trade-off is dose size and cost, not absorption; all three of our omega-3 products prioritize the triglyceride form.
Why lipase is worth mentioning
Lipase is the digestive enzyme responsible for breaking dietary fats down into a form your gut can actually absorb. Most liquid fish oils leave this entirely to your own digestive system. Including it in the formula is a small, practical detail aimed at reducing the digestive discomfort some people report with high-dose liquid fish oil, rather than a headline ingredient in its own right.
DeltaGold tocotrienols, briefly
Tocotrienols are a less common member of the vitamin E family, distinct from the tocopherols used in most fish oil products. DeltaGold is a patented, trademarked form (U.S. Patent 8,586,109) used here specifically for its oxidative stability, protecting the oil's freshness, not as a standalone tocotrienol supplement dose. Worth knowing if you're already taking a separate vitamin E or tocotrienol product and want to track total intake.
What the evidence does and does not say
The cardiovascular case for EPA and DHA together is well established. The cognitive case is more mixed across trials, with the clearest signal in people who started with a low baseline omega-3 status. A high dose does not change this evidence picture; more omega-3 is not automatically more benefit once your baseline needs are met, and there is no strong evidence that 3,000 mg outperforms a more moderate dose for a healthy person without a specific deficiency or therapeutic target.
Who it tends to suit
- Anyone working with a healthcare practitioner toward a specific, higher omega-3 target.
- People who want a genuinely 1:1 EPA to DHA ratio rather than an EPA-forward one.
- Anyone who prefers a liquid dose over swallowing multiple softgels daily.
Who it is probably not for
- Anyone looking for a simple, lower-cost daily foundation. Our softgel options are a more appropriate everyday starting point for most people.
- Anyone who is vegetarian or vegan. This is still a fish-oil product (Alaska pollock), even without a gelatin capsule involved.
- Anyone who dislikes the taste or texture of liquid fish oil generally; flavoring helps, but doesn't eliminate it for every palate.
How To Use
Shake well before each use. Liquid fish oil can separate slightly over time; a quick shake keeps the dose consistent.
Take 5 mL (1 teaspoon) daily with food. Fat improves absorption, so pairing it with a meal is worth the habit. If 3,000 mg in one sitting feels like a lot, splitting it into a half-teaspoon with two separate meals is a reasonable adjustment.
Consider starting lower if you're new to a high-dose omega-3. There's no requirement to take a full serving from day one. Some people do better easing in with a partial teaspoon for the first week or two, especially if you're prone to digestive sensitivity.
Refrigerate after opening. Liquid oils oxidize faster than softgels once the seal is broken. Keeping it cold helps preserve freshness and can also make the flavor more tolerable.
Give it real time. Omega-3 status builds gradually regardless of dose size. Your blood omega-3 index typically takes 3 to 4 months of consistent daily intake to fully reflect a change, so judge this over a season, not a week.
How to stack it
- Fits cleanly alongside a choline source, magnesium, or an adaptogen blend, no mechanism overlap.
- No cycling required. This is meant to be a steady, ongoing foundation, not something you take breaks from.
- If you're also taking a separate vitamin E or tocotrienol supplement, factor in the DeltaGold tocotrienols here when tracking total intake.
What to avoid
- Skipping the shake step, which can leave later servings under- or over-concentrated.
- Combining this dose with blood-thinning medication without your doctor's input. Omega-3s have a mild antiplatelet effect, and this is a considerably higher dose than our other options.
Third Party Lab Testing
- Third-party tested, verified independently rather than taken on the brand's word alone.
- Manufactured in the USA in an NSF International GMP-certified facility. NSF's Good Manufacturing Practice certification is an independent audit of the facility itself, not just the finished bottle.
- MSC-certified sustainable sourcing, an independent sustainability standard tied to the wild Alaskan fish oil specifically.
- Molecularly distilled and filtered for purity, the standard industry process for concentrating omega-3s while reducing contaminants.
- Non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free formulation, as stated on the label.
- DeltaGold tocotrienols are a patented, trademarked ingredient (U.S. Patent 8,586,109), which comes with its own manufacturer documentation and traceability.
As with any supplement, the strongest form of proof is a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis tied to the lot number on your bottle. If verifying a specific batch matters to you, note the lot number and request the COA directly from the manufacturer.
